• Announcements

  • Sheridan Pediatrics would like to share some exciting news with you on several fronts.

As many of you may be aware, our Nurse Practitioner, Kelsey Habermehl, left our practice to continue her professional development in a new non-clinical role. Kelsey has provided wonderful care for our patients, and we wish her all the best in her new position.

We are pleased to announce that we recently hired a new full-time Physician Assistant, Haley Funderburk. We are very excited to have her join us and welcome Haley to our practice.

In addition, we have a major news announcement as we continue to develop our practice. As of July 7, 2025, we will be joining the Wheatfield Pediatrics family! Wheatfield Pediatrics is a wonderful pediatric group that I trust very much. They are a quality group of medical staff who have been in practice for over 25 years. Sheridan Pediatrics will continue to practice at our current location, under the same name, and will be considered a second location of Wheatfield Pediatrics. Each of our valued staff members will be retained in their current roles at the Sheridan Pediatrics location, and we Will be adding some new faces.

The administrative challenges of medicine have increased in recent years, and as a solo practitioner this has become unsustainable. This new partnership will provide many important resources for our wonderful staff and patients. Wheatfield Pediatrics has a skilled team of staff that has been able to provide evening visits, Saturday morning sick visits, mental health counseling and linkage, and lactation support. Our goal is to continue to meet your needs and expand the tools we can use to continue to provide excellent care.

Please understand that Sheridan Pediatrics will be navigating the transition as well, and we will work through any logistical "growing pains" with you. I truly anticipate that this will be a positive change that enables us to serve our patients for many years to come.

    Dr. Joel Snitzer
